I really enjoy the Abilene shows. There is a great group of people and stiff competition here. However, it is a long distant drive for a double show. The venue is small and crowded. I will most likely trade this show off for one a litter closer for 2019. Wichita perhaps... 813 round trip miles. One of the benefits to this location is I can make a 45 minute detour and visit with my Mom and son near Kansas City. My son was out of state this trip, but I did stop in and have lunch with my Mom.
On to the show results. I took 16 show animals. 3 black Jr. bucks, 4 black Jr. does, 2 Intermediate Blue Bucks, 3 broken (1 blue 2 black) Jr. Bucks and 3 broken (1 blue and 2 black) Jr. Does. I didn't sell any at this show, but sold 10 the week proceeding the show. I didn't register any either. Nor did I purchase any... I'm good... no more purchases for the remainder of 2018!
